Job summary

Lennar is seeking a VP of Land Development to lead the land development group, overseeing field operations and contracts for residential projects. The role requires driving schedules, budgets, and quality across multiple projects while ensuring regulatory compliance and coordination with builders and consultants.

The position emphasizes strategic planning, entitlement processing, and team leadership to deliver value and on-time completions in a dynamic homebuilding environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in business, engineering, accounting, finance or similar.
• Minimum 7 years of land development experience.
• Minimum 5 years in land development management role.
• Must read and evaluate civil engineering/development plans.
• Must develop schedules and budgets.
• Proficient in word processing, spreadsheets, project scheduling and data management software.
• Knowledge of land use approvals from local to state level.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, mentor and manage teams to achieve top performance and evidence-based solutions.
• Oversee projects from permit approvals through construction and final certification.
• Ensure delivery of projects using schedules, budgets, environmental studies, geotechnical reports, and permit compliance.
• Design and install land development improvements (grading, utilities, paving, sidewalks, landscaping).
• Budget for entitlements and land development.
• Manage NPDES/SWPPP compliance for developments and third-party lots.
