Job summary

Lennar is seeking a Land Purchasing Manager to oversee contracting of Land Development vendors, review plan specifications, and ensure adherence to Lennar standards. The role focuses on cost control, schedule adherence, and strong vendor relationships within residential development.

Candidate will coordinate with project managers, analyze budgets, and manage bids to secure best value. A background in land development and purchasing is required, with strong analytical and negotiation skills

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in land development, purchasing, construction and/or estimating.
• Offsite Purchasing experience is highly preferred.
• Must have knowledge of residential development and homebuilding industry.
• Sound financial management and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Review civil construction drawings and provide feedback to engineering consultants to ensure plans meet Lennar standards.
• Work with Project Managers to ensure development budgets are current and accurate.
• Oversee bidding to ensure best price, quality and performance.
• Issue contracts and work orders and ensure proper budgeting and lineage.
• Track issued contracts and work orders against the development budget.
• Assist in forecasting expenditures for cash flow modeling.
• Monitor macro trends in materials/suppliers and adapt plans to rising costs.
• Manage vendor relationships to build effective partnerships.
• Provide purchasing information for coordination with other departments.
• Assist in preparing development cost estimates with land acquisition team.
