Job summary

Lennar in Texas seeks a Land Development Manager to lead the division's land development program, directing roadway, utilities, earthwork, and public utility coordination. This role ensures timely delivery of new home sites and manages budgets, permits, and regulatory compliance.

You will work with Area Construction Managers and the Director of Construction to deliver ready-to-build sites, develop entitlement budgets, and maintain strong relationships with jurisdictional entities while

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in land development.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or similar program preferred.
• Computer literacy, including word-processing, spreadsheet analysis, project scheduling and data management software.
• Must be detail-oriented and a problem-solver able to deal with complex situations.
• Valid Driver's License and good driving record.
• Valid auto insurance coverage required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure successful and timely delivery of new projects using schedules, budgets, and permit compliance.
• Collaborate with Area Construction Managers and Director of Construction to ready home sites.
• Assist in development budgets during entitlement; value-engineer project design.
• Build working relationships with jurisdictions for land use and development rights.
• Oversee permits through construction, plat recording, and community turnover.
• Manage field operations including erosion control, grading, utilities, paving, landscaping, and amenities.
• Oversee HOA management, budget analysis, and improvements to common areas.
• Handle bond maintenance and guaranty retrieval used by division.
• Coordinate with departments to deliver amenities, recreation centers, and marketing windows.
• Ensure SWPPP management and compliance.
• Review project budgets with Director of Development for reconciliation.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
