Job summary

McKesson Corporation is seeking a Category Manager for IT Software and Services to lead strategic sourcing across software, SaaS, cloud, and related services. You will drive end-to-end sourcing, negotiate complex contracts, and partner with IT, Legal, Privacy, and Finance to align with technology roadmaps and business goals.

The role demands strong negotiation, analytics, and cross-functional leadership to optimize total cost of ownership and supplier performance.

Qualifications

Degree and typically requires 7+ years of relevant experience.
5-7 years of procurement, strategic sourcing, or category management experience, with significant experience sourcing enterprise technology.
Strong analytical, financial, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to influence and collaborate with senior business and technology stakeholders.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute IT software and technology services sourcing strategies.
Lead end-to-end sourcing initiatives including RFI/RFP, supplier evaluation, and contracting.
Negotiate MSAs, SOWs, and IT services agreements.
Partner with Legal, IT, Information Security, Privacy, Finance and stakeholders.
Manage supplier relationships and monitor performance; drive cost savings and TCO.
