Job summary

McKesson is seeking a seasoned Senior Category Manager to own the Technology Professional Services category end‑to‑end. The role combines deep market expertise with executive presence to negotiate MSAs, SOWs, and multi‑phased agreements, delivering measurable sourcing value.

You will lead category strategy, supplier ecosystems, and governance with technology, finance, and HR stakeholders, driving cost savings and risk management at scale.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent; typically 7+ years in strategic sourcing/category management/procurement.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Computer Science, or related field.
• Master's degree or CPSM/CIPS or equivalent preferred.
• 8–12 years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing with 5+ years in Technology Professional Services.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end Technology Professional Services category strategy, including staff augmentation, managed services, and consulting.
• Lead complex MSAs, SOWs, and hybrid commercial models; balance risk and flexibility.
• Design and execute RFI/RFP/RFQ events; drive cost savings and KPI improvements.
• Collaborate with CIO/VP-level stakeholders to translate roadmaps into sourcing strategies.
• Oversee SOW lifecycle in Fieldglass or equivalent VMS; ensure governance and spend control.
