D.A. Davidson Companies is seeking a Problem & Change Governance Lead to oversee Problem Management and Change Enablement within IT Application Support in Great Falls, MT.

This role coordinates CAB activities, guides root-cause work, and embeds KCS when capturing knowledge during daily tasks. The position emphasizes governance, coordination, and follow-through while leaving investigations, testing, and implementation to technical and business teams.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in information technology, business, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• ITIL 4 Foundation certification or higher.
• Successful completion of the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam and Series 99 within 120 days of the start date.
• Experience using service-management tools to document workflows, maintain governance records, produce service metrics, and create or improve support knowledge.
• Working knowledge of KCS principles, including searching before creating, reusing knowledge, improving articles during use, and capturing knowledge in the flow of work.

Responsibilities

• Own and improve the Problem Management process, standards, records, and prioritized backlog.
• Coordinate root-cause reviews and ensure each problem has clear impact, owner, status, workaround, and target date.
• Own and improve the Change Enablement process, standards, records, approval paths, and change schedule.
• Coordinate Change Advisory Board meetings and document approvals, conditions, owners, and risks.
• Define roles, workflows, templates, and record requirements for problem and change governance.
• Produce metrics on repeat incidents, change outcomes, and knowledge reuse.
