Job summary

AbbVie is seeking an Associate Director of Planning & Delivery to drive integrated BTS demand, capacity planning, and portfolio governance. The role focuses on aligning technology investments with business priorities, delivering dashboards, and enabling data-driven decisions at the leadership level.

The position requires extensive experience in IT portfolio management, demand management, and cross-functional leadership, with a strong emphasis on forecasting, analytics, and process

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Operations, Human Resources, or related field with 9 years of experience; OR Master’s Degree with 8 years of experience; OR PhD with 4 years of experience.
• Progressive IT portfolio management, PMO, resource/workforce planning, technology planning experience required.
• 3+ years of people leadership or equivalent leading teams through complex initiatives.
• Experience with portfolio and project governance, demand management and capacity planning.
• Experience translating projects, product and operation demand into resource and capability requirements.
• Experience developing portfolio reporting and providing insights to technology leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead IT Demand Planning and establish standardized processes for capturing and prioritizing technology demand.
• Lead Resource & Capacity Planning across employees and external resources.
• Establish Knowledge Management capabilities and enable governance across the portfolio.
• Manage IT portfolio planning, prioritization, and delivery governance with leadership oversight.
• Develop dashboards, forecasts, KPIs, and scenario analyses for portfolio performance.
