Job summary

ASM Research is hiring a Capacity Manager to oversee ITIL-aligned capacity management across enterprise resources in a highly regulated federal IT environment. You will monitor performance, analyze trends, and forecast capacity needs to support mission-critical systems and budgets.

The role requires 3–5 years of infrastructure or service management experience, a bachelor's degree, and a current secret clearance or higher.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT or related field or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years in IT infrastructure or service management focused on performance analysis and capacity planning.
• Demonstrated knowledge of capacity management with strong analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with architecture, operations, and business functions.
• Candidates must have a current secret security clearance or higher.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain an ITIL-based capacity management framework spanning business, service, and component views.
• Collect and analyze utilization and performance metrics across servers, storage, networks to detect bottlenecks.
• Build capacity forecasts and what-if models to advise scaling and upgrades.
• Produce regular capacity and performance reports and dashboards for leadership.
• Collaborate with architecture, engineering, and operations to embed capacity in designs and release plans.
• Identify and lead capacity optimization initiatives such as rightsizing and cloud elasticity.
• Integrate capacity management with incident, problem, and change processes.
