Job summary

ASM Research, An Accenture Federal Services Company seeks a Capacity Manager to establish ITIL-aligned capacity management across compute, storage, network, and applications, ensuring resources meet current and future demand in a regulated federal IT environment.

The role partners with architecture, operations, and service owners to identify capacity risks, produce forecasts, and guide scaling options, cost, and SLAs while aligning with change and release schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a IT-related field.
• 3–5 years of IT infrastructure or service management experience focused on performance analysis and capacity planning.
• Current secret security clearance or higher.
• Demonstrated analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate with architecture, operations, and business functions.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain an ITIL-based capacity management framework spanning business, service, and component capacity views across the enterprise.
• Collect and analyze utilization and performance metrics from servers, virtual infrastructure, storage, databases, and networks to detect bottlenecks.
• Build capacity forecasts and what-if models to recommend scaling strategies and upgrades.
• Produce regular capacity and performance reports and dashboards for leadership and service owners.
• Collaborate with architecture, engineering, and operations to incorporate capacity in solution designs and release schedules.
• Identify and lead capacity optimization initiatives such as rightsizing, consolidation, virtualization, and cloud elasticity.
• Integrate capacity management with incident, problem, and change processes to feed remediation and planning.
