Job summary

Technik is seeking an IT Technical Account & Project Manager in the United States (Michigan). You will manage approximately 25 client accounts, translate technical quotes into client-facing proposals, and drive projects from approval to completion within a managed IT environment.

The role emphasizes ownership of client relationships and projects, with a focus on explaining solutions to nontechnical decision-makers and coordinating with the technical team to meet client needs.

Qualifications

• Experience in IT, technical project management, technical account management, managed IT services, or a similar technology-focused environment.
• Working knowledge of networking, servers, workstations, cybersecurity, backups, hardware, software, and cloud services.
• Ability to explain technical concepts to nontechnical clients.
• Strong organization and follow-through.
• Ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients.
• Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships.
• Understand each client’s business, technology environment, and future needs.
• Identify and coordinate technology projects and recommendations.
• Review technical quotes and turn them into client-facing proposals.
• Present proposals and explain solutions, costs, and next steps to clients.
• Coordinate project approval, scheduling, communication, and implementation.
• Manage projects from approval through completion.
