Job summary

Sysco is seeking an Inventory Planner to manage supplier inventories and optimize service levels. You will monitor PO accuracy, reduce spoilage and shrink, and work with Shipping, Warehousing, and Merchandising to maintain optimal inventory.

Responsibilities include using the DPR tool for replenishment, maintaining 2,300-4,000 SKUs vendor direct and 3,500+ redistributed, and ensuring timely POs and price accuracy. Strong Excel skills and cross-functional collaboration are required.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in inventory management/purchasing within retail, wholesale, or distribution.

Responsibilities

• Maintain inventory levels while maximizing customer service.
• Manage inventory DSO, aged, obsolete, spoilage and shrink to goals.
• Collaborate with merchandising, suppliers, and cross-functional teams.
• Utilize the Manhatten Demand Planning Replenishment tool to drive KPI-friendly performance.
• Work with logistics and inbound planning to maximize receiving/warehousing efficiency.
• Manage SKU counts and resolve replenishment issues; ensure timely POs.
