Job summary

Sysco in Fargo, ND seeks an Inventory Planner to optimize supplier inventories and ensure high service levels. You will manage POs, monitor DPI metrics, and coordinate with logistics, merchandising and inbound planning to drive efficiency across the supply chain.

The role requires 3+ years in inventory management/purchasing, strong Excel skills, and the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in Inventory Management/Purchasing; distributor experience preferred.
• Retail/wholesale or distribution environment experience.
• Inventory management for 10,000+ SKUs preferred.
• Proficient Excel and strong stakeholder communication.
• Cross-functional collaboration and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Maintain inventory levels while maximizing customer service levels.
• Manage DSO, aged, obsolete inventory, spoilage and shrink.
• Collaborate with merchandising teams, suppliers and others.
• Utilize DPR to drive performance via scorecards and KPIs.
• Work with logistics to maximize supply chain efficiencies.
• Develop programs with inbound planning for receiving/warehousing.
• Manage SKU count and resolve replenishment issues.
• Meet established KPIs and execute purchasing of new items.
• Process Salesforce 360 and NISR/MSR requests timely.
• Follow market guidelines and understand seasonal trends.
• Understand commodity purchasing dynamics and enterprise initiatives.
• Confirm POs; investigate late/missing POs; respond to Cora requests.
