Job summary

Sysco Northeast RDC is seeking an Inventory Planner to manage replenishment strategies and optimize stock levels across 2,300–4,000 SKUs direct and 3,500+ redistributed lines. You will partner with logistics, merchandising, and suppliers to drive service levels and cost efficiency.

The role requires 3+ years in inventory/purchasing, strong Excel skills, and the ability to analyze data, forecast demand, and execute timely POs in a fast-paced retail/distribution setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3+ years in Inventory Management/Purchasing.
• Experience in retail, wholesale or distribution environment.
• Inventory management with 10,000+ SKUs preferred.
• Proficient Excel and strong stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities

• Take strategic actions to maintain inventory levels while maximizing service levels.
• Manage inventory DSO, aged, obsolete inventory, spoilage and shrink to goals.
• Collaborate with merchandising teams, suppliers and other functions.
• Use DPR to drive performance via scorecards, dashboards and KPIs.
• Work with logistics to maximize supply chain efficiencies.
• Collaborate with Inbound Planning to optimize receiving and warehousing.
• Manage SKU count and resolve replenishment issues.
• Meet KPIs and ensure timely purchasing of new items.
• Process POs accurately and address late/missing POs.
