Job summary

Sysco in Honolulu is seeking an Inventory Planner to oversee inventory levels, forecast demand, and process POs with high accuracy. You will work across merchandising, suppliers, and logistics to minimize spoilage and optimize DSO, while using the DPR tool to drive KPIs.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, data-driven replenishment, and adherence to corporate guidelines in a fast-paced distribution environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of professional business experience.
• Purchasing/merchandising experience preferred; degree may substitute experience.
• Experience in retail, wholesale or distribution environment.
• Inventory management/purchasing with 10,000+ SKUs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage Inventory DSO, aged, obsolete inventory and shrink to meet goals.
• Process purchase orders per corporate guidelines and maintain PO accuracy.
• Forecast and demand plan for events, shifts and seasonality.
• Collaborate with merchandising, suppliers and other functions.
• Utilize DPR to drive performance via scorecards and KPIs.
• Work with logistics to maximize supply chain efficiencies.
• Support receiving/warehousing programs with operations.
• Manage OpCo SKU count (min 1,800 to 2,299) and resolve replenishment issues.
• Contribute to enterprise purchasing initiatives and market condition responses.
