Job summary

Sysco Hawaii is seeking an organized Category Planner I to manage inventory and support demand planning for assigned products. You will ensure PO accuracy, minimize spoilage and shrink, and drive replenishment strategies that improve DSO and service levels.

Responsibilities include forecasting for events and seasonality, collaborating with merchandising, suppliers, and logistics, and using DPR to monitor KPI dashboards.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of professional business experience in inventory management/purchasing.
• Experience in retail, wholesale, or distribution environments preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills; detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Manage Inventory DSO, aged, obsolete, and shrink to meet goals.
• Handle and process purchase orders in compliance with guidelines.
• Forecast and plan demand for events, shifts and seasonality.
• Collaborate with merchandising, suppliers, and logistics teams.
• Utilize DPR dashboards and KPIs to drive performance.
