Job summary

Amcor Rigid Packaging in the United States is seeking a senior Inventory/Cost Accounting leader to manage all aspects of resin and inventory accounting, PPV, and related cost control. You will guide a team of three accounting professionals, collaborate with procurement, treasury, and business units, and drive process improvements while maintaining strong internal controls.

The ideal candidate has 10–15+ years in inventory/cost accounting within a large manufacturer, strong knowledge of US GAAP,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• Master's degree in Accounting/Finance preferred; CPA or CMA designation.
• 10-15+ years of inventory/cost accounting in a large, multi-location manufacturer; US public company experience preferred.
• Strong general accounting skills and US GAAP inventory knowledge.
• SAP ERP with BPC and Business Objects experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of commodity markets, especially petro-chemical value chains.
• Strong Excel skills and financial modeling ability.
• Understanding financial statement relationships across balance sheet, income, and cash flow.
• Excellent oral and written communication; high integrity and ethics.
• Effective team player with multitasking ability; travel <5%.

Responsibilities

• Lead ARP North America inventory function across three BUs and 25+ plants.
• Act as change agent, drive best practices and process improvements in finance.
• Provide sound financial advice on inventory matters to key stakeholders.
• Oversee resin accounting, PPV, and payables valuation; manage overhead costing.
• Collaborate with procurement on pricing and profitability analytics.
• Support raw material derivatives and cross-functional forecasting.
• Manage cost standards updates and variance analysis for year-end budgeting.
• Lead M&A integration activities and system implementations when needed.
• Ensure internal controls, audits support, and timely month-end close.
