Job summary

County Materials Family of Companies seeks a Corporate Inventory Control Manager in Westmont, IL to oversee all inventory activities, cycle counts, forecasting, and write-offs. You will partner with operations, purchasing, finance, and sales to optimize inventory and working capital performance.

The role emphasizes analytics, process discipline, and system-wide improvements across ERP and BI tools, with strong cross-functional collaboration required for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a field such as supply chain, operations, finance, or business.
• 5–7+ years in inventory management, supply chain, manufacturing, or distribution.
• Experience implementing and managing cycle counting programs.
• Experience with inventory forecasting and demand planning.
• Experience with obsolete inventory reduction initiatives.
• Ability to administer inventory adjustments and write-offs.
• Advanced ERP proficiency: NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, Epicor, or similar.
• Strong Excel skills: Pivot Tables, Power Query, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and reporting.
• Experience with BI tools and data analysis; strong cross-functional communication.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain inventory control procedures.
• Manage cycle count programs to maintain 98%+ accuracy.
• Investigate variances and identify root causes.
• Ensure accurate ERP/WMS inventory records and perform audits.
• Identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory and plan reductions.
• Lead process-improvement initiatives to raise accuracy and efficiency.
• Develop dashboards and KPIs to monitor performance.
• Serve as SME for inventory within ERP and related systems.
• Coordinate with Finance on valuation and write-offs, maintaining records.
• Prepare weekly/monthly inventory reports and present to leadership.
