Job summary

County Materials Family of Companies seeks a Corporate Inventory Control Manager in Brookfield, Wisconsin to oversee all inventory activities, cycle counts, forecasting, and write-offs, driving accuracy and working capital performance.

The role partners with operations, purchasing, finance, and sales to improve inventory processes, dashboards, and KPIs, ensuring strong financial controls and reporting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business, Finance, or related field.
  • 5-7+ years of inventory management, supply chain, manufacturing, or distribution experience.
  • Experience implementing and managing cycle counting programs.
  • Experience in inventory forecasting and demand planning.
  • Strong background reducing obsolete inventory.
  • Experience administering inventory adjustments and write-offs.
  • Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, Epicor, or similar).
  • Strong Excel skills including Pivot Tables, Power Query, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and reporting.
  • Experience with inventory management systems and BI tools.
  • Strong analytical and data management abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis capabilities.
  • Financial acumen with understanding of inventory valuation.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to drive accountability and process discipline.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain inventory control procedures.
  • Manage cycle count programs to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Investigate variances and identify root causes.
  • Ensure records are accurate across ERP/WMS systems.
  • Conduct periodic audits and physical counts.
  • Identify slow-moving, excess, and obsolete inventory.
  • Develop plans to reduce or dispose of obsolete inventory.
  • Partner with sales and operations to minimize aging.
  • Prepare recommendations for inventory reserves and write-offs.
  • Lead process improvements to increase accuracy and efficiency.
  • Develop dashboards and KPIs to monitor performance.
  • Serve as SME for inventory processes in ERP and related systems.
  • Manage inventory reserve analysis and documentation.
  • Coordinate and administer inventory write-offs with Finance.
  • Maintain records supporting inventory adjustments and write-offs.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly inventory reports.
  • Present performance and plans to operations and senior management.
