Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in governance, oversight, controls, compliance, or risk management within financial services.
• Proven experience building or leading governance/oversight frameworks, monitoring programs, and risk management practices.
• Senior individual contributor with demonstrated influencing ability without direct authority.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity, set expectations, and deliver credible challenge across complex initiatives.
• Track record of influencing senior stakeholders across large, matrixed organizations.
• Ability to rapidly develop domain expertise and connect stakeholders across boundaries.
• Executive-level communication across written, verbal, and presentations.
• Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills to assess risk themes and control effectiveness.
• Sound judgment and professionalism in dynamic environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead second-line oversight for Business Banking Insurance activities across products, distribution, servicing operations, and customer outcomes.
• Oversee carrier relationships and third-party arrangements, ensuring risks are identified, assessed, and governed.
• Design and maintain risk indicators and monitoring routines for forward-looking risk visibility.
• Establish reporting frameworks, escalation criteria, and governance forums for decisioning and transparency.
• Drive issue-management including identification, escalation, tracking, and remediation governance.
• Advance governance capabilities to support business growth and evolving risk profiles.
• Set risk expectations for emerging products and fraud risk initiatives.
• Provide credible challenge and independent perspective on complex initiatives.
• Partner with Product, Operations, Technology, Legal, Compliance, Controls, and stakeholders to inform decisions.
• Represent Business Banking Risk in governance forums, regulatory engagements, audits, and reviews.
• Translate complex risk topics into pragmatic actions and communications for senior audiences.
