Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a strategic vision for instructional technology that supports the University’s academic mission and student success.
  • Lead integration of instructional technology into face-to-face, online, and hybrid courses.
  • Administer, support, and evaluate the University’s Learning Management System and other instructional technology platforms.
  • Provide faculty with training on LMS, instructional applications, digital resources, and emerging educational technologies.
  • Consult with faculty on course design, online and hybrid course development, and digital learning practices.
  • Develop and deliver professional development opportunities that enhance faculty technology skills and instructional effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with Information Technology to ensure availability, configuration, security, and reliability of instructional technology systems.
  • Identify needs and recommend solutions with academic leadership and IT.
  • Support development and implementation of online and hybrid courses and programs.
  • Promote accessibility and inclusive design in digital learning environments and materials.
  • Provide guidance on FERPA, privacy, copyright, accessibility and other requirements.
  • Evaluate emerging educational technologies and provide recommendations on their appropriate use.
  • Develop resources, tutorials, guides, and training materials for faculty and students.
  • Monitor trends in educational technology and online learning.
  • Participate in professional activities to maintain expertise.
  • Collect and analyze data on effectiveness and utilization of instructional technology.
  • Collaborate with departments to identify solutions that boost student engagement and outcomes.
  • Assist with technology planning for new programs and courses.
  • Establish and maintain documentation, procedures, and standards.
  • Serve on committees and contribute to strategic planning.
  • Provide timely technical support to faculty and staff.
  • Coordinate with vendors to implement and evaluate solutions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
