Job summary

Drake State Community and Technical College seeks an Instructional Technology Coordinator to provide strategic leadership for instructional technology initiatives. You will guide LMS, DegreeWorks, online and hybrid learning, and faculty development to align with institutional priorities and student success.

The role emphasizes collaboration with IT, academic leaders, and vendors to implement innovative instructional technology.

Qualifications

Master's degree from a regionally accredited institution in instructional technology or a related field.
Minimum of three years of progressively responsible experience in instructional technology or related area.
Demonstrated knowledge of learning management systems and technology-enhanced instruction.
Experience with Quality Matters or another recognized online course quality framework.
Demonstrated experience in the effective use of instructional technology.
Strong understanding of instructional design, online/hybrid learning, accessibility, and student-centered teaching practices.
Excellent communication, organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Provide vision and strategic leadership for instructional technology initiatives.
Develop and implement an instructional technology strategic plan aligned with the College's priorities.
Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend tools that improve teaching, learning, and retention.
Promote innovative, evidence-based approaches to technology-enhanced instruction.
Support AI, educational technology, and digital learning tools integration into curriculum.
Establish standards and best practices for instructional technology use across programs.
