Job summary

ThyssenKrupp Materials NA, Inc. in Kansas City seeks a results-driven account professional to accurately provide price and delivery information, convert inquiries into orders, and grow target accounts into loyal customers.

You will respond to sales inquiries, generate quotes, and support customers with product knowledge while working closely with distribution and purchasing teams to ensure timely delivery and high service levels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or comparable experience, computer literate and telephone experience.
• 1 to 2 years sales experience.
• Interpersonal skills necessary to sell, negotiate and close business with customers.
• Attention to detail in order evaluation for customers.
• Basic computer skills to assemble and process orders and information.
• Effective communication and listening skills when answering calls from customers and peers.
• Knowledge of products being sold by the business unit.

Responsibilities

• Respond to sales calls, faxes, and e-mails.
• Generate and follow up on quotes for all products.
• Provide technical assistance to customers.
• Process sales orders and enter return orders, credits and debits as required.
• Enter scrap return orders as requested by distribution channels.
• Review product inventory and report concerns to purchasing/management.
• Satisfy customer service issues and travel as needed to meet goals.
• Monitor competitor products and prices; assist in quality duties when required.
