Job summary

The New York Times Company is seeking a Director, HR Business Partner for its Product Engineering and Technology groups. You will partner with the CTO, CPO, and leaders, manage a two-person team, and guide performance cycles and HR operations.

This hybrid role is based in New York City, with in-office expectations 3+ days per week. You will drive people strategies, collaborate with COEs, monitor talent needs, and support an inclusive workplace aligned with our mission and journalistic

Qualifications

• 10+ years of HR Business Partner experience across technology or related teams.
• 5+ years of leading people and building inclusive teams.
• Experience with HRIS systems (Workday, SuccessFactors).

Responsibilities

• Advise and coach senior leaders and managers including CTO and CPO.
• Lead a team of two HR Business Partners and manage multiple HR initiatives.
• Oversee performance management, lifecycle management, and HR administration.
• Develop and implement people programs in partnership with COEs and business leaders.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and address employee relations issues in collaboration with Legal and Talent Management.
