Job summary

The New York Times is seeking a Director, HR Business Partner for the Product Engineering and Technology groups to partner with the CTO, CPO, managers, and employees across technology. You will lead a two-person HRBP team and oversee performance enablement, employee lifecycles, and HR administration.

This hybrid role is based in the New York City headquarters with a 3+ days/week office presence, reporting to the VP, HR Business Partners.

Qualifications

10+ years of HRBP experience with responsibility across employee relations, employment law, talent management and inclusion within technology or adjacent teams.
5+ years of experience leading people with a focus on developing an inclusive team.
Experience working with an HRIS, e.g., Workday, SuccessFactors.

Responsibilities

Be an advisor, partner, and coach to senior leaders, managers, and individual contributors across our Technology group, including the CTO and CPO.
Lead and develop a team of two HR Business Partners to manage multiple HR issues and support the business.
Provide daily support to senior-level department leaders, managers, and employees, coaching, lifecycle management, and HR administration oversight.
Lead planning and implementation of company and department-level people initiatives and programs.
Collaborate with COEs to deliver and refine people initiatives for client groups.
