Job summary

FOCUS Broadband in North Carolina seeks a Human Resources Payroll and Compensation Specialist to manage payroll, benefits changes, and compensation market research. You will work on a multi-faceted team, handle sensitive information, and ensure accurate data across HRIS and payroll systems.

The role emphasizes regulatory compliance (HIPAA, FLSA, COBRA, ERISA), audits, reporting, and supporting talent acquisition and new hire orientation, while delivering outstanding customer service to employees

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of HR/payroll experience preferred.
• HR certification preferred or ability to obtain it.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll changes and deductions accurately.
• Administer compensation changes and pay scale placement.
• Maintain HRIS data and employee records with confidentiality.
• Respond to employee and manager inquiries on payroll and benefits.
• Support audits and compliance with HIPAA, FLSA, COBRA, ERISA.
• Generate reports and support HR projects.
• Assist talent acquisition and new hire orientation.
• Provide logistics for wellness and engagement activities.
