Job summary

FOCUS Broadband is seeking an HR Benefits & Leave Administration Specialist to own benefits and leave processing, open enrollment, and related HR tasks. You’ll partner with payroll, HRIS, and leadership to ensure compliant, timely benefits programs and leave management across the organization.

The role also supports recruitment, wellness programs, compliance, and HR operations, maintaining confidentiality and accuracy while managing multiple priorities per company policies and mission.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• Five or more years of HR experience, including at least three years in benefits and leave administration.
• Strong knowledge of employee benefit programs and leave rules (FMLA, ADA, PWFA, workers’ comp).
• Experience administering comprehensive benefit programs (medical, dental, vision, retirement, voluntary).

Responsibilities

• Administer benefits programs across medical, dental, vision, life, disability, retirement, and voluntary benefits.
• Process benefit elections and life events with deadlines and documentation.
• Coordinate open enrollment meetings and beneficiary communications; assist with system setup and content.
• Maintain accurate records in HRIS and benefits systems; liaise with brokers and carriers.
• Coordinate leave processes, documentation, payroll interactions, and return-to-work planning.
• Support talent acquisition, new hire orientation, and ongoing HR reporting and projects.
