Job summary

Georgia Tech is seeking an HR Business Partner for the Office of Development in Atlanta. This role acts as a strategic partner to senior leadership, aligning HR services with unit and Institute goals, and collaborating with the Office of Human Resources.

Responsibilities include recruiting and developing staff, crafting development programs, guiding performance and compensation discussions, and fostering employee engagement across the unit.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Seven to nine years of job-related experience.
• Master's Degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• Aligned to SHRM Leadership & Navigation; prior people leadership preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with GTHR Talent Acquisition and unit leadership to develop and implement a proactive strategy for recruitment and retention of unit staff.
• Collaborate with unit leadership to optimize and advance the business interests of the unit, while advancing the Institute's direction.
• Design and implement professional development programs to address growth, training needs, team-building, and mentoring.
• Create plans to develop talent within the unit and provide day-to-day performance management guidance.
• Facilitate compensation discussions; advise on reclassification, promotions, and other staff changes.
• Work with management and employees to improve workplace relationships, engagement, and productivity; root cause analysis.
• Enable development of tools and campaigns to increase knowledge of HR policies across the Institute.
• Represent GTHR in the unit and liaise with subject matter experts and unit managers.
• Provide insights on workplace trends to support strategic people-management decisions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in HR/Business Administration or related field
