Job summary

Georgia State University is seeking an experienced Human Resources Business Partner to support University strategic initiatives and serve as the HR lead in Human Resources Administration. The role provides full-cycle HR support for high priority actions, advising hiring managers and divisions on talent acquisition, classifications, and compensation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Human Resource Administration, or related field and at least five years of HR experience.
• Certification as SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred.
• Experience providing full-cycle HR support and advising on university HR actions.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day full life cycle generalist support for high priority HR actions related to University Strategic Initiatives.
• Provide proactive strategic recommendations to University leadership and hiring managers for hiring and ongoing employment support.
• Consult on Talent Acquisition, Classification and Compensation issues; facilitate discussions with leadership.
• Collaborate with management to improve workplace relationships and retention; perform root cause analyses.
• Develop structured HR processes and training for staff and HR Officers.
