Job summary

The University of Southern California is seeking an HR Partner to serve as a trusted talent advisor to their unit. This role partners with unit managers and HR leadership to deliver coordinated HR services and to tailor an effective talent strategy that aligns with USC’s goals and culture.

You will lead activities in performance management, succession planning, onboarding and compensation, while handling employee relations and workforce planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in a related field.
• 5+ years of HR experience or human capital management.
• Knowledge across HR domains including total rewards, recruitment, employee relations and performance management.
• Experience consulting with units on workforce planning and talent assessments.
• Ability to present complex information to executives.

Responsibilities

• Engage leaders and centers of expertise to tailor talent management strategies for units.
• Provide day-to-day guidance on performance management, career development and disciplinary actions.
• Advise on workforce planning, succession planning and talent analytics.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and manage employee and labor relations matters as needed.
• Communicate HR policies clearly and produce proposals, presentations and reports.
