University of Southern California is seeking a Senior HR Partner to serve as a strategic advisor to USC Student Life leaders. You will build trusted relationships, guide people strategies, and navigate complex employee relations matters in a high-demand environment.

You will coach leaders, partner with Centers of Expertise, and leverage workforce data to drive talent decisions. The role emphasizes collaboration, judgment, and maintaining up-to-date HR knowledge within a university setting.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in business, psychology, human resources, industrial relations or related field.
• Seven or more years of experience in human resources or human capital management.
• In-depth understanding of HR domains including total rewards, employee and labor relations, talent management, change management, training, and org design.
• Demonstrated success in consulting with business unit leaders about talent management strategies.
• Ability to work with multiple leaders and manage competing priorities.
• Experience presenting complex information to executive leadership.
• Excellent mentoring and coaching to enhance client management and relationships.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills including conflict resolution.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with diverse teams.
• Ability to learn quickly and flexibly adapt HR expertise to different business units.
• Ability to develop positive working relationships and rapport with team members.
• Ability to manage one or more direct reports.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

Aufgaben

• Serve as trusted strategic advisor to the assigned client organization, understanding its business, people, culture, priorities, and long-term goals.
• Build relationships with employees and leaders at all levels, providing proactive HR consultation, coaching, and guidance.
• Advise leaders on workforce planning, change management, succession planning, performance management, talent development, and organizational effectiveness strategies.
• Manage and resolve employee and labor relations matters, including workplace investigations, performance concerns, and disciplinary actions.
• Coach leaders through complex people decisions and provide HR guidance with thoughtful challenge where needed.
• Partner with USC HR Centers of Expertise to deliver solutions across Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, HR systems and analytics, and more.
• Leverage workforce data and insights to support hiring, promotion, compensation, development, and succession decisions.
• Communicate complex HR policies in ways leaders and employees can understand and act.
• Maintain knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and guidance to HR Partners and Associate HR Partners to foster collaboration.
• Support continuous improvement of HR practices and client services.
