Job summary

Wintrust Financial Corporation is seeking an HR Business Partner to lead compensation, career development and performance initiatives. You will partner with frontline to executive leadership, driving engagement and affirmative action programs across a national footprint.

The role focuses on advising senior leaders, policy interpretation and cross-charter collaboration, with limited travel to offices in IL, NJ, CA and NY.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years’ experience in a corporate HR environment with a shared services model preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience advising senior business leaders (Director, VP, or SVP) in a complex, matrixed organization.
• Ability to resolve complex issues with independent actions and build connections with stakeholders.
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
• Workday system knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure legal compliance and mitigate employment risk by investigating complaints and applying policies fairly.
• Analyze cases to determine root cause and partner with business to mitigate recurrence.
• Coach leaders on employee relations issues.
• Counsel and advise management on problem resolution and policy interpretation.
• Provide input on strategy to improve engagement and talent development.
• Suggest and implement HR solutions and processes for client objectives.
• Lead HR Talent Management programs and drive change communications.
• Maintain positive relationships with leaders and centers of excellence.
