Job summary

Wintrust Financial Corporation is seeking an HR Business Partner to support compensation, career development, performance and employee engagement. You will be the primary HR contact for a national team with offices in Illinois, New Jersey, California and New York, working with leaders from frontline to senior management.

Travel is minimal, and you will help ensure policy compliance and effective employee relations.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years’ experience in a corporate HR environment with a shared services model preferred.
• Experience advising senior business leaders in a complex, matrixed organization.
• Ability to resolve complex issues with independent actions and build connections with key stakeholders.
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Workday system knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary HR contact for HR strategies in compensation, career development, performance, engagement and relations.
• Partner with front line to upper management and team members on HR initiatives.
• Provide input into compensation, leadership and diversity reporting.
• Support a national team with offices in IL, NJ, CA and NY; minimal travel.
• Ensure compliance with local, state and federal employment laws and policies.
• Coach leaders on employee relations issues and policy interpretation.
• Develop charter/entity strategy to improve engagement and retention.
• Lead HR Talent Management programs requiring change and comms plans.
