Job summary

MISO is seeking an experienced HR leader in Carmel, Indiana to serve as a strategic HR advisor to executive leadership. You will influence senior decision-making with workforce analytics and HR insights, and guide organizational design, planning, and leadership development.

The role emphasizes collaboration across HR functions, talent management, and change initiatives, with a base salary in the shown range and eligibility for an annual bonus based on performance and company objectives.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive HR experience with strategic partnership.
• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, or related field.
• Strong background in organizational design, workforce planning, talent strategy, succession planning, and performance management.
• Experience influencing senior leaders, exercising sound judgment, and managing complex organizational issues.
• Experience analyzing workforce data and translating insights into actionable solutions.
• Strong understanding of employment laws, HR policies, and organizational risk.
• Excellent communication, consulting, coaching, and relationship management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint; HRIS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as strategic HR advisor to executive leadership and provide independent consultation on workforce priorities and leadership effectiveness.
• Build trusted relationships with senior leaders to influence decisions using workforce analytics and HR insights.
• Evaluate organizational structures, roles, capacity, and capability to improve effectiveness and performance.
• Lead or support organizational assessments and change initiatives with readiness and risk considerations.
• Analyze workforce trends, turnover, headcount, vacancies, and succession to inform strategic recommendations.
• Develop workforce plans addressing capability gaps and future business requirements.
• Advise on talent management, performance management, succession planning, and employee engagement strategies.
• Coach leaders on performance expectations, leadership behaviors, conflict resolution, and accountability.
