Job summary

Lighthouse Youth & Family Services is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner in Cincinnati, OH to serve as a strategic advisor to designated business units. You will connect business priorities with people strategies to elevate engagement, productivity, and retention.

You will lead HR initiatives, coach leaders, and manage employee relations matters while ensuring compliance with laws and policies. This role focuses on building trusted relationships and delivering practical HR solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience resolving complex employee relations issues.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to interpret and apply employment laws, regulations, policies, and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Serve as internal HR consultant and strategic partner to assigned business units.
• Build strong, collaborative relationships with leaders and employees.
• Provide guidance on employee relations, performance management, organizational development, and workplace concerns.
• Coach and mentor leaders to become stronger people managers.
• Lead thorough investigations and resolve complex employee relations matters.
• Navigate performance concerns, disciplinary actions, conflict resolution, and workplace challenges.
• Represent the organization in unemployment claims; partner with Legal when appropriate to minimize risk.
• Analyze HR trends and workforce data to identify opportunities and develop programs.
• Manage full-cycle recruitment for assigned areas and support onboarding.
