Job summary

Blue Shield of California is seeking an accomplished HR Business Partner to serve as a strategic partner to leadership across the organization. You will advise on people strategies, coach executives, and drive employee engagement while aligning human capital plans with enterprise goals.

You will partner with COEs and HR teams to deliver integrated solutions, lead complex initiatives, and foster a culture rooted in our values and strong leadership behaviors.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree or High School Diploma/GED with 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
• Requires 10 years of prior relevant experience in a strategic Human Resources function with at least 7 years driving strategic initiatives
• Requires mastery level knowledge of Human Resources
• Requires ability to leverage data to develop insights presented to HR and business clients
• Requires exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills and ability to build professional networks
• Requires strong evidence of Project Management Skills
• Requires strong communication skills with the ability to articulate issues to different audiences

Responsibilities

• Align business unit initiatives to enterprise objectives
• Align talent strategies to business goals
• Anticipate talent needs and ensure HR strategies are in place and aligned to outcomes
• Provide data insights and recommendations
• Influence decisions around performance, structure, and engagement with an enterprise mindset
• Collaborate across functions to deliver integrated solutions
• Act as a connector between business leaders and the organization
• Support planning and execution of human capital plans
• Lead complex initiatives like organizational design, talent management, succession planning, compensation, and management development
• Partner with Centers of Excellence and HR teams to deliver seamless HR processes
• Strengthen leadership by coaching and leadership development for the executive team
• Act as a change-agent during business transformation
• Support employee engagement and culture initiatives
• Broker HR solutions for clients through specialist HR resources
