Job summary

Blue Shield of California is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to drive people strategy and organizational performance. You will align talent strategies with business goals, coach leaders, and translate strategies into meaningful HR practices and programs.

The role focuses on delivering data-driven insights, workforce planning, and leadership development to support enterprise objectives while operating in a hybrid workplace model in Oakland.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree or High School Diploma/GED with 4 years of additional relevant experience.
• Requires 10 years of prior relevant experience in a strategic Human Resources function with at least 7 years driving strategic initiatives.
• Requires mastery level knowledge of Human Resources.
• Requires ability to leverage data to develop insights presented to HR and business clients.
• Requires strong organizational and interpersonal skills; ability to build trusted professional networks.
• Requires strong evidence of Project Management Skills.
• Requires strong written and verbal communication, tailoring messaging for different audiences.

Responsibilities

• Align business unit initiatives with enterprise objectives and connect across the organization.
• Align talent strategies to business goals and anticipate HR needs.
• Provide data insights and recommendations for decisions on performance and engagement.
• Collaborate across functions to deliver integrated HR solutions.
• Lead complex initiatives in organizational design, talent management, compensation, and leadership development.
• Act as a connector between business leaders and HR, supporting leadership development.
• Support employee engagement and culture work; broker HR solutions with COEs and HR teams.
