Job summary

The Human Resources Business Partner at Dell Medical School, University of Texas, Austin, collaborates with clinical, operational, and administrative leaders to provide strategic HR solutions in a complex health and academic environment.

You will work on workforce planning, employee engagement, organizational effectiveness, talent management, employee relations, and change management to support business objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
• Five or more years of progressive HR experience, including at least two years in a core HR function or as an HR Generalist or HRBP.
• At least one year of experience working in a hospital or academic medical center.
• Master's degree in HR, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or related field preferred.
• PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or equivalent HR certification, or ability to obtain within one year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Consults with managers and leaders within assigned business areas, providing timely HR guidance and recommendations that align with organizational policies and business needs.
• Analyzes workforce trends, metrics, and recurring issues to identify needs and recommend practical solutions, programs, or process improvements.
• Partners with hiring managers, Talent Acquisition, and Compensation to address staffing, classification, compensation, and retention needs.
• Leads ownership of assigned HR issues, projects, and initiatives, coordinating with Finance, Payroll, Benefits, HRIS, and other HR centers of expertise.
• Provides policy guidance and interpretation to leaders, identifies potential compliance concerns, and engages Legal or Employee Relations as appropriate.
• Coaches leaders on effective employee communication, feedback, documentation, and leadership practices that support accountability and growth.
