Job summary

Cushing Terrell is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner to serve as the day-to-day HR contact for managers and staff within an assigned client group. This hybrid or in-office role partners with the Senior HR Manager to deliver core HR processes, support performance management, employee relations, onboarding, and multi-state compliance across geographies.

You will help leaders hire, develop, support, and retain teams delivering client work, and support Day 1 onboarding for acquired firms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Organizational Development, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive HR experience.
• Experience supporting employees across multiple states and geographies.
• Working knowledge of core HR disciplines, performance management, employee relations, onboarding, and multi-state compliance.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for managers and employees in your client group, escalating complex matters.
• Support the performance management cycle, including goal setting, check-ins, annual reviews, and calibration.
• Guide managers on feedback, documentation, and development conversations.
• Handle routine employee relations matters with empathy and discretion, and support investigations.
• Partner with Talent Acquisition and HR Operations on hiring and onboarding, check in with new hires through 90 days.
• Pull and summarize ADP Workforce Now reports on headcount, turnover, and performance cycle completion.
