Job summary

University of Alabama at Birmingham seeks an HR Partner Generalist to provide strategic and operational HR support for the Heersink School of Medicine Dean's Office and affiliated units.

The role partners with department leadership on workforce planning, talent acquisition, onboarding, employee relations, organizational design, compensation, and policy interpretation across HSOM units, while ensuring compliance with university policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and three years of related HR experience.
• Experience interpreting and applying University and School of Medicine HR policies.

Responsibilities

• Serve as HR Partner for HSOM Dean's Office and assigned departments.
• Provide workforce planning, talent acquisition, onboarding, employee relations, organizational design, compensation, classification, and performance management.
• Advise leadership on policy interpretation and ensure compliance with University and HSOM requirements.
• Coordinate HR transactions and maintain confidential records with the Office of Human Resources.
