Job summary

UAB Medicine, Alabama’s largest and most comprehensive health system, is seeking an HR Business Partner to align business objectives with employees and management across departments. You will partner with HR to deliver value-added services reflecting the organization’s financial position and culture.

The role focuses on strategic planning, change management and collaboration with leadership to drive organizational effectiveness and employee success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, business management or a related field is required.
• At least three years of HR generalist experience is required.
• Five years of progressive HR experience is preferred for the role.
• Certifications such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with clients to understand business direction and develop HR plans.
• Provide guidance on engagement, retention, performance, and workforce planning.
• Interpret results of HR-related goals and prepare client presentations.
• Coach leaders and employees on management skills, conflict resolution and communication.
• Advise on policies, procedures and compliance with laws and regulations.
• Use analytics to become an evidence-based strategic business partner.
