Job summary

The Lundquist Institute in Torrance, CA is seeking a seasoned HR Business Partner to align HR strategies with department objectives. You will advise leaders, manage employee relations, drive performance management, onboarding, offboarding, compliance, and organizational development while supporting travel requirements and ensuring workforce engagement.

Ideal candidates bring 7+ years of HR experience, strong knowledge of employment laws, and proficiency with Paycom.

Qualifications

Minimum of 7 years of progressive HR experience.
Experience supporting multiple departments or business units in a strategic HR capacity preferred.
Strong understanding of federal, multi-state employment laws and regulations.
Proficiency in Paycom strongly preferred.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and coaching skills.

Responsibilities

Act as day-to-day HR Partner for both employees and leaders within assigned departments.
Provide timely support on a wide range of HR matters including policy interpretation, employee relations, and workforce concerns.
Ensure actions align with organizational goals and compliance standards.
Design and facilitation of compliance and HR training programs, including New Hire Orientation.
Manage onboarding and offboarding processes, exit interviews, and transition planning.
Stay informed about changes in employment law and regulations and coordinate with leadership to ensure compliance.
Lead workforce planning and talent strategies with department leadership.
Generate and interpret HR analytics to inform leadership decisions.
