Pacific Clinics in Los Gatos, CA is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner for an onsite role. You will serve as a strategic HR partner to leadership, handling complex employee relations, investigations, and documentation.

The role requires 2+ years of HR experience, knowledge of CA employment laws, and strong communication. You will collaborate with benefits, payroll, and HRIS, support hiring, onboarding, and reductions in force, and participate in company-wide HR initiatives.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional HR experience or equivalent.
• 3 to 5 years HR generalist experience in HR capacity (generalist, benefits, talent acquisition, compensation, or training).
• Knowledge of California employment laws (CFRA, FMLA, FEHA, ADA, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Serve as a strategic HR partner to leadership by applying laws, policies, practices, and procedures.
• Independently manage complex and sensitive employee relations matters from intake through resolution.
• Conduct prompt, thorough workplace investigations with objective findings.
• Prepare clear, objective, and defensible employee relations documentation.
• Handle multiple time-sensitive employee relations matters prioritizing legal, operational, and organizational risk.
• Coach managers to improve performance appraisals.
• Collaborate on leave of absences, medical accommodations, and interactive process situations.
• Support offboarding including final pay, termination documents, collecting property, and revoking access.
• Respond to unemployment claims timely and accurately.
• Partner with third-party vendors and participate in hearings when required.
• Lead or participate in HR projects and initiatives.
• Support hiring, onboarding, and RIF/layoff processes.
• Attend meetings and committees; conduct training as required.
