Job summary

Transdev in Arcadia, CA is hiring a Human Resources Manager to support the management team with full-cycle recruiting and other HR responsibilities. We are seeking customer service-oriented professionals who are dedicated to safety.

The role includes partnering with operating management, administering policies, overseeing payroll and benefits, and ensuring compliance with DOT regulations. This on-site position emphasizes a safe, collaborative work environment.

Qualifications

• Three (3) or more years of relevant direct experience managing human resources and labor relations.
• Experience with recruitment and terminations.
• Experience with benefits and compensation.
• Administering employee files.
• Other relevant Human Resources qualifications.
• Subject to DOT drug testing and physical, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Creates a strategic partnership with operating management on HR policies and initiatives.
• Administers and monitors policy interpretation, discipline, and employee relations in union and non-union settings.
• Supports HIPAA/PHI, hiring, engagement, and a safe, respectful work environment.
• Maintains information on handbooks, recognition programs, and HR records.
• Develops proactive employee relations strategies for both union and non-union personnel.
• Advises branch managers on employment matters, compliance, and labor codes.
• Keeps aware of HR trends and legislation affecting programs.
• Directs payroll functions, accounts payable, and fare collections.
• Manages pension, union dues, unemployment, and leave processes.
