Job summary

Transdev North America in Arcadia, CA, is seeking a Human Resources Manager to partner with management on HR policies, recruiting, and labor relations, while promoting a safe and respectful work environment.

You will oversee payroll-related tasks, benefits administration, compliance with DOT and PHI regulations, and the development of employee relations programs for both union and non-union staff.

Qualifications

• Three (3) or more years of relevant direct experience managing human resources and labor relations.
• Experience with recruitment and terminations.
• Experience with benefits and compensation.
• Administering employee files.
• Other relevant Human Resources qualifications.
• Subject to DOT drug testing and PHI compliance where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Creates a strategic partnership with operating management on HR policies and practices.
• Administers and interprets company policy, discipline, and employee relations in union and non-union settings.
• Supports HIPAA/PHI, hiring, engagement, and a safe, fair work environment.
• Maintains employee handbooks, records, and related HR literature.
• Develops proactive employee relations strategies for union and non-union staff.
• Advises branch managers on employee relations, dispute resolution, and labor code.
• Keeps aware of HR trends, legislation, and employment programs.
• Directs payroll functions, accounts payable, and fare collections.
• Manages processes for pension, dues, unemployment, workers' comp, disability, and leaves.
