Job summary

Andersen is seeking a strategic Human Resources Manager to support the Chicago and Des Moines offices, based in Chicago. This role partners with leaders to align people strategies with business goals, fostering a high‑performance, inclusive culture.

You'll lead talent development, performance management, and workforce planning, ensuring compliance with federal and state laws while driving organizational effectiveness across the metro Chicago offices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field.
• 6+ years of related experience in HR or consulting.
• SHRM or HRCI certification preferred and must be obtained within 12 months.
• Experience in professional services or consulting preferred.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local HR laws and regulations.
• Strong business acumen and fluency to understand firm operations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; problem-solving and critical thinking.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Metro Chicago leaders to translate business strategies into people solutions.
• Drive talent management including performance reviews, succession planning, and retention.
• Advise employees and leaders on labor laws and firm policies.
• Manage onboarding and offboarding to support career lifecycles.
• Coach leaders on employee relations, organizational effectiveness, and talent decisions.
• Collaborate with Centers of Excellence to implement firmwide programs.
• Serve as change agent guiding growth and transformation.

Education

Bachelor’s degree

SHRM or HRCI (SPHR/PHR) certification
