Job summary

Transdev is seeking an HR professional to join our team in a fully in-person role servicing multiple markets. You will partner with operations on hiring, compensation, training, and disciplinary actions, while interpreting HR policies and ensuring regulatory compliance.

The position requires 5–7 years of HR experience, a strong understanding of employment laws, and the ability to travel up to 15% outside the immediate area.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or related field preferred.
• PHR or SPHR preferred.
• 5 - 7 years of relevant human resource experience, including recruiting, selection, and employee relations required.
• Understanding of employment laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Consults with operations management on HR issues related to hiring, compensation, training and development, disciplinary actions and terminations.
• Interprets and assists with understanding HR policies and procedures.
• Manages compliance issues; identifies local compliance risks and mitigates risks.
• Manages the hiring process including candidate screening, hiring, new employee set-up, payroll, and leaves of absence.
• Serves as the liaison between the unit and the Division Human Resource Director.
• Coaches and mentors assigned employees; assigns work according to availability, skills, and developmental needs; assesses performance and provides feedback to direct reports.
• Maintains confidentiality of all information.
• Other duties as required.
