Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field.
• 5 to 10 years of progressive HR leadership experience.
• Specialized training in employment law, compensation, employee relations, safety, and training preferred.
• Must be able to communicate clearly orally and in writing.
• Must maintain a high level of confidentiality.
• Must have strong time management and organizational skills.
• Must be familiar with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Direct employment activities, ensuring properly qualified employees are recruited and hired in a timely manner.
• Ensures policies and programs are understood and administered consistently, and communication is disseminated to all employees.
• Oversee HR programs through HR staff; monitor administration of welfare plans and related documents.
• Administer wage and salary administration and employee performance appraisal programs and review wage ranges annually for equity.
• Oversee payroll processing on a weekly or bi-weekly basis.
• Review and approve management recommendations for employment terminations.
• Prepare and maintain records and reports for the department.
• Keep executives informed of significant problems affecting company goals.
• Develop and supervise training programs and conduct supervisory training as needed.
• Lead implementation of company safety and health programs; track OSHA data.
• Act as liaison between company policies and applicable laws (OSHA, Wage-Hour, ERISA, etc.).
• Conduct investigations when employee complaints arise.
• Manage employee communications and feedback channels (meetings, surveys, newsletters, focus groups).
• Direct development and administration of programs for employee communications and community relations.
