Job summary

Turner Construction Company in Monroe, LA is seeking an experienced HR leader to manage the full employment life cycle on a major construction project. You will recruit, handle employee relations, talent management, training, and benefits, while guiding managers and supervising HR staff on the project and potentially other locations.

This role requires at least 7 years in HR, 3 years of supervisory experience, a Bachelor's degree, and willingness to travel 100% for the duration of the project.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from accredited program and minimum 7 years of progressive HR experience or equivalent plus 3 years of supervisory/management experience.
• PHR®/SHRM CP® or related certification preferred.
• Bilingual capabilities are desirable.
• Construction industry experience or large organization experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills; effective at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Manage full employment life cycle: recruiting, employee relations, talent management, training, and benefits for the project.
• Supervise one or more HR Generalists/Administrators on project with growth opportunities for locations/teams.
• Partner with business leadership and legal counsel on labor relations and compliance matters.
• Develop sourcing and recruitment strategies with hiring managers and Talent Management teams.
• Lead salary planning and compensation administration; guide managers on merit philosophy.
• Foster a culture of diversity, inclusion, and employee wellbeing.
