Job summary

Alliant Energy is seeking a Manager of HR & Labor Relations to lead strategic human resources initiatives, guide labor relations, and advise business leaders. This role chairs negotiations, develops workforce strategies, and supports organizational objectives with a focus on constructive labor-management relations.

The position requires extensive experience in unionized environments and an ability to influence senior leaders while driving cross-functional collaboration and risk-aware decision

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR or related field required.
• J.D. or advanced degree preferred for strategic advisory roles.
• 10+ years of progressive labor relations experience in a unionized environment.

Responsibilities

• Serves as a strategic advisor to leaders on complex workforce and labor relations matters.
• Leads a team of HR Business Partners, ensuring high-quality support across environments.
• Acts as enterprise-wide labor relations resource for bargaining, strategy, and contract administration.
• Partners with business leaders to develop workforce strategies aligned with objectives.
• Leads or co-leads collective bargaining negotiations and related activities.
• Coaches leaders on employee relations, investigations, and performance management.
• Develops labor relations training, tools, and best practices.
• Collaborates with HR Centers of Excellence and cross-functional teams to address priorities.
