Job summary

VSE Aviation is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to partner with the business on people-related matters while ensuring compliance and efficiency. You will handle recruiting, policy administration, labor relations, compensation, benefits, HRIS, performance management, and development initiatives.

The role requires strong HR generalist experience, cross-functional coordination, and the ability to manage high-volume recruiting and complex HR processes in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or related discipline.
• 4 years HR experience supporting 150+ employees.
• 2 years recruiting experience, including sourcing, interviewing, offers and onboarding.
• Proficiency with MS Office, HRIS, ATS, and payroll systems.
• Knowledge of ADA, FMLA, FLSA, EEO, OSHA and other employment laws.

Responsibilities

• Advise on HR policies and programs aligning with business goals and ensure compliance.
• Participate in audits, prepare reports, and maintain compliance records.
• Coordinate employee and labor relations policies including onboarding, performance, investigations.
• Lead talent sourcing, approvals, postings, background checks, and onboarding activities.
• Guide conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance investigations.
• Support wage planning, job descriptions, and FA/SLA-related HR processes.
